Kitchen Utility Cart
i needed an extra cart type thing for my microwave and other appliances because i was out of counter space. i previously bought a metal wire utility cart and while that was strong and durable its width wasn't big enough for my big microwave. this was perfect, the microwave fit nicely with a little room to spare. putting it together was a little effort because i did it myself; I'm sure 2 people could do it in much less time. it looks very study, is very spacious and looks lovely in my kitchen. only thing i wish was it came in diff wood colors too, but thats minor. def get this if you need a kitchen cart!

I don't understand some of the bad reviews either. We've had this cart for what seems about ten or so years. It has held one of those behemoth old microwaves for years and now holds a large basket for bread plus the shelves are used for holding tons of the typical smaller kitchen appliances. It is completely solid, nothing had worn out or broken. The cart, except for the wheels, is made of thick 100% solid wood. The cutting board feature is great! So you don't have to store one somewhere in your kitchen. All of my drawers and counter spaces are filled already because we have a smaller kitchen so that setup is just perfect. Also the knife holder is great. You can cut your meat and have your favorite blades all in one place, plus it will hold appliances? AWESOME. The cart is not too small or too big but it is a pretty large working space for rolling dough, etc.

I purchased one of these carts for my daughter a year ago and she was extremely pleased with it. I recently moved and needed a utility cart for my microwave. So I bought another one and I'm also extremely pleased with it. It's made of solid wood and VERY sturdy. Two of the casters can be locked and the slide out cutting board can be removed for easy cleaning. The knife block has a small, medium and large slot for various knife sizes and a slot for a sharpening steel. As an option, it can be attached to the cart or left off. The top shelf measuring 27″ wide x 20 1/2″ deep, can easily accommodate large microwaves. Assembly is fairly easy (take note of the two long screws in the hardware package – they are for attaching the cutting board). A good value for an excellent product.

I have had the utility cart for about 3 weeks now. It was the simplest thing to put together, is sturdy, my microwave is huge and fits perfectly, it rolls smoothly, and the additional knife block is great. I have not seen this item elsewhere, and look-a-likes are not nearly as I nice. If you are looking for more workspace/microwave cart, this is definitely the best choice.

I have bought a lot of screw together furniture over the years. A lot of IKEA stuff. But this is the most outstanding product of that type that I have ever bought. It is a simple design, just screws – none of the bizarre design of some other manufacturers that makes assemble a puzzle. But every vertical slat has 2 screws per each shelf per SIDE, making for a very rigid and sturdy cart – no wobbles!!! Also, the holes for the screws align PERFECTLY. The other thing is, and I don't know how they can afford to do this, but it is solid wood! This really looks and feels like a piece of well crafted furniture – unlike so much of what I have bought where I thought my microwave would slide off at any moment. Usually I have no brand loyalty, but I certainly intend to buy a kitchen table and other furniture from these guys, I am so impressed with this little cart. Some real care went into the manufacture and design of this thing.

I purchased this for the rave reviews, however, must agree with another 1 star reviewer – perhaps I got a defective product. The pre-drilled holes were not aligned, causing the wood to split when attempting to screw the top on. I contacted Hayneedle through Walmart, who provided a return label. They want the entire cart shipped back, when all I want is the top piece. It is a very large, heavy box, and very inconvenient to go through all of that rigamarole, when they could simply ship the needed piece. Customer service provided info for the actual manufacturer, and I sent pictures of the damage to Winsome Wood (winsomewood.com) who have not responded. Do not waste your time or money on this cart. I'll chalk it up to experience and will never buy another assembly-required piece online, and definitely not from Walmart, Hayneedle, or winsomewood.com! Caveat emptor!

Its a heavy all wood cart. It's very easy to put together. The first side definitely could use a little help to get started, but with creative use I did it by myself. All parts came with the product. It's very sturdy, rolled easy and locks two wheels. I have my professional mixer, bread maker, and variety of extra parts and mixing ingredients on the shelves. Sturdy enough to hold a microwave as well. Like any cart, I would suggest like anything not to put all the heavy weight on top. It is a great product.

STAY AWAY. Based on the other reviews, I wonder if I did not get a very defective product, but I can only review on the one that came. I brought it out of the box, wondering what the wood glue was for. I realized quickly they put it in because they know that half the planks on the shelves would come off in shipping because they are so unstable and weakly/cheaply put on. After assembly, I stood up the cart and realized it was uneven. The pre-drilled holes were not equal! One post did not match the other three. I decided to try and drill my own for the 6 spots on the one post that were off, and the very second I started the drill the wood splinted. Other problems, if that wasn't enough, it was not big enough for my microwave to fit on the shelf, nor would I have felt comfortable putting it there it was so flimsy. On the plus side, the knift block would have been nice. Needless to say, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.
